Fishtoes Vintage + Treasures is excited to bring downtown Manchester, New Hampshire, a much-needed spot to shop curated vintage (women’s, men’s & children’s clothing, furniture & home décor) and a place to relax with friends (we’ve got 3 hang out spots). We’re dedicated to providing locals and visitors with a unique shopping experience, helping transform Manchester into a more vibrant city that people continue to want to visit and call home.

FIGHT FAST-FASHION

It’s important to educate our customers about the fight against fast-fashion. Big brands and companies are producing apparel faster and more cheaply, resulting in an unsustainable waste of resources and an ungodly amount of pollution. With a 400% growth of clothing consumption over the last twenty years, there’s no end in sight, but we can work together to change the negative impacts our shopping has on the environment.

We the consumers are responsible for choosing whether to support and fuel fast-fashion brands. As long as we consent to these kinds of manufacturing practices (with our hard earned money), we’re part of the problem. Shopping second-hand is the solution, which allows us the expand the lifetime of already produced clothing, while saying no to fast-fashion.

Each time we present ourselves to the world, we are given an opportunity to positively impact the people we cross paths with and the places we journey to with the clothes we wear.

By bringing back the fashion trends of the 50’s through the early 2000’s, we’re helping inspire others to fall in love with thrifting and as a result, reused and recycled items are given more life to live. This in turn, keeps more money in people’s pockets, as well as less material in landfills.

Plus, let’s face it, they don’t make ’em like they used to. Vintage items were crafted to withstand and to last. That’s why we can keep enjoying them today.
